How to Prepare for a Reiki Session

There is really nothing you need to do except make an appointment.  I suggest wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.  Allow plenty of time before other commitments, so you won’t feel rushed.  Think of Reiki as a reset button for a busy mind, anxiety, and stress.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session

For best results, an appointment lasts for an hour and a half.  I want to get acquainted with you, and discuss any reasons you felt drawn to receive Reiki.  Then we’ll get started with the Reiki itself, which lasts about 60 minutes.  You lay on a massage table, first on your back, then roll over to your stomach. You may choose to receive Reiki with hand contact, or from a couple of inches above your body.  I move through a series of hand positions from head to toe, spending a few minutes at each.  If you need extra work on a certain area, or need a clearing/releasing, I can do that.  I conclude with a singing bowl.  Some people report experiencing sensations such as a warm, tingly feeling; others have deep emotional releases, memories, thoughts long forgotten rising to the surface; colors; images; disappearance of pain; and a deep feeling of relaxation, peace, and calm, that can last for several days after your session.

I am available 7 days a week, from 8 am-6 pm Monday-Friday, and 9 am-6 pm on weekends.  The end time means we have started our session by 6 pm, so it would end by 7:30 pm.  If you need a session later at night, please contact me via email or phone.

Cancellation Policy

Please notify me of any need to cancel or reschedule prior to 24 hours before our appointment.  Any cancellation within 24 hours will be charged a full session amount.
